Who is Sharron Angle’s God? - Patriotic Perspectives

Sharron and Ted Angle
by Jeanette Ward

“How do you explain all this? You’re now a national story, are you kind of overwhelmed by it all?” asked Ralph Reed of The Christian Coalition.

“I believe that God has been in this from the beginning and because of that when He has a plan and a purpose for your life and you fit into that, what He calls you to He always equipped you for,” Sharron Angle replied.

Now her critics accuse her of claiming God told her to run for office, claiming God is on her side, etc. etc.

However, the real question is not whether God told Sharron Angle to run, but Who is Sharron Angle’s God?
Is He:

-Harry Reid’s racist deity, who despises those who speak with a Negro dialect (whose scriptures state that god cursed evildoers with black skin) and Hispanics who are intelligent enough to think for themselves, and perhaps - gasp - not be Democrats?

-Obama’s divine spirit, who demands collective salvation, that for one to be saved, all must be saved (which leads to tyranny)?

-Jeremiah Wright’s racist “divinity” of black liberation theology, hatred of Israel, of god damn America, and chickens coming home to roost?

-Mohammed’s Allah who commands death to infidels and glorifies jihad in his holy book - the same one to whom his followers proposed building a Monument, celebrating jihad, at Ground Zero?

-Nancy’s Pelosi’s “the word” – the one you can fill in with whatever you want – who was the inspiration for a bill that promotes the slaughter of His most defenseless creatures?

Or, is He:

-the same God Sarah Palin reveres, who directs her steps, and whose church building those who hate her set ablaze?

-the same God referred to by one of our Founders: “Those who will not be governed by God will be ruled by tyrants” (William Penn)?

Why is it acceptable for Obama, Reid, and Pelosi to speak of their gods, unchallenged, but Sharron Angle and Sarah Palin’s God makes people hold their ears and scream?

The God you serve will determine for whom you will vote in November.

  1. The left makes fun of those that live their life as directed by God, at their own peril.
I believe that Sarah and Sharron are living their lives in a way that shows how little the precious political trappings the left holds dear really means. The true power is in God not political office.

  2. For those of us who still believe in God, our national motto, Christmas, and the beauty of this nation which was built on patriotic principles and standards, the progressive POV is nothing more than a sham that masks an agenda that is meant to destroy everything that we have fought to preserve. The Godless doctrines of the left are empty and meaningless. Sharron Angle and Sarah Palin have chosen paths that are filled with good will and purpose for the people who are still willing to fight for freedom and the right to fulfill their dreams through hard work and belief in a a higher power. In God We Trust - not a government that is filled with greed and corruption.

  3. "In God We Trust" - our Founders seemed to think it was a good idea.

  4. Mymati - yes, "Spes mea in Deo est", which means, my hope is in God.

Anonymous, "the godless doctrines of the left are empty and meaningless" because they are not based on the True God at all.

Well said, both of you. Thanks for reading.

  5. Who cares what the Left thinks anymore? We are who we are, they are who they are. If there are more of us who agree with Mz Angles views and beliefs, we'll win. Our job is to defeat the Left back to the kook fringe where they crawled out from.
I know this much, God is not going to be on the side of atheists whose highest sacrament is the killing of babies in the womb.

  6. EVEN IF Sharon DOES THINK that God wanted her to run for office, is that a SIN ? I DO feel God talks to us, in our hearts and directs our paths...there is NOTHING wrong with that.

But yes, being a "Christian" is touted as some "bad thing" if you mention it in political circles.

I just have one verse for those people :

    2 Chronicles 7:14 :

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

    Enough Said.....

If Sharon was praying to some Moon God, Allah, "finding herself" with some new age theology......that would BE FINE .....but if she mentions THE ONE AND ONLY "GOD" or if Sarah does....THAT is a "problem"..... ?

God always WINS IN THE END...And those who STAND WITH HIM ....will WIN as well. THe battle is the Lord's.....

    Romans 8: 38-39

    38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And NO....THAT IS NOT "ABOVE MY PAY GRADE" to know these things :)

  7. I'm with Sharron and Sarah. Our GOD believes in the sanctity of Life and that every Life is Special. I read last week after the "Muslim" Poll controversy surrounding Obama that some pastors who have counseled with him confirmed that he is not only a Christian but a "DEVOUT" Christian. This was printed in Bold headlines in our local newspaper. Question: How many DEVOUT Christians do you know that support Abortion on-demand? Blasphemous in my opinion. Great Blog Jeanette.

  8. Thanks, cudaforever! Amen, sister!

Not only does our God believe in the sanctity of life, He Himself IS life. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."
